Solar technology is traditionally handled by companies that specialize in photovoltaics. This results in building owners having to use different companies to manage the building envelope and solar energy production separately. We know that integrated solar technology is new and can be intimidating. To reduce the risk taken on by clients, Mitrex is involved in every step of the process with our turnkey services, from design integration, project management, and post-installation maintenance. At Mitrex, we offer two unique business models that allow our customers to invest in building-integrated photovoltaics at reasonable prices. When purchasing Mitrex Solar Cladding, SolaRail, or Solar Windows, our clients have the option of the Mitrex Power Agreement (MPA) or the Direct Purchase Agreement (DPA).

MPA
Mitrex Purchase Agreement

When buying Mitrex solar products through the Mitrex Power Agreement (MPA), Mitrex covers the solar system’s costs (including solar panels, wiring, inverter, and more) to lower the up-front material costs drastically. Through the MPA, Mitrex provides a progressive revenue-sharing business model, which allows Mitrex to price its solar technology products below market value. Under this business model, Mitrex will provide a full turnkey service, which covers maintenance of the solar technology products throughout the entire 30-year contract. In addition, at a $0 investment, Mitrex sells the energy to the building, and the building owner receives money back for every kWh generated by Mitrex solar technology throughout the energy contract. The products may be eligible for tax credits and government incentives when a consumer integrates solar technology. Mitrex can assist clients with determining available tax incentives.

DPA
Direct Purchase Agreement

When buying Mitrex solar products through the Direct Purchase Agreement (DPA), you will fully own the products and all the electricity they generate. Under this business model, Mitrex will still provide full turnkey services, and Mitrex will price the cost of the solar technology products at market price, which will result in a more considerable initial investment for the consumers. However, full ownership will guarantee a greater return on investment and a short payback period due to the passive energy generation. The products may be eligible for tax credits and government incentives when consumers integrate solar technology.
